What’s your specialty? Maternal fetal medicine specializing in high-risk pregnancies

What’s the best parenting advice you’ve ever received? You can’t be everything to everyone all of the time. You can do everything, but not all at the same time. I’m just learning that there will be time for everything and that I can achieve everything I want to, but I can’t do it all at once.

What’s your own favorite parenting tip? Don’t be afraid to ask for help. I always remind my patients of that when they come to see me for their postpartum visits.

What surprised you most about parenting? How exhausting it is, but also how rewarding it is.  

How do you get your kids to eat healthy food? I’m lucky: My three year old actually likes healthy foods like broccoli and cauliflower! So I haven’t had to resort to any tricks.

How do you work exercise into your family’s life? We go on long walks and to the playground, but I have to admit that structured exercise was really lost when I had kids.

How do you recharge your batteries? I like to read and be someplace quiet. I’ll hand the kids off to my husband. Plus my husband and I are really good about setting aside an hour or so each week for us to have dinner alone.
