Birthing Location Hospitals

I’m fortunate to have several hospitals in my insurance plan from which to choose. What did you consider when choosing the hospital or birth center to deliver at?

Our Mommy MD Guide’s reply:  I knew that I wanted to have my babies in a hospital. In particular, I wanted the hospital to have a neonatal intensive care unit (NICU). There were two hospitals in our neighborhood, one with a NICU and the other without. I chose the one with the NICU. The hospital had a birthing center as well, and that was the perfect atmosphere for me.

My husband and I both took a tour of the hospital and birth center when I was pregnant to familiarize ourselves with it.
