Adjust to Two Kids
I have a toddler and just found out I’m pregnant! What have you found to be the hardest thing about adjusting to having two kids?
Our Mommy MD Guide’s reply: The major issue for me has been setting limits. I have a new baby and a three-year-old who’s used to having my undivided attention. I’m still struggling with setting limits with my children as a working mom. I feel guilty. I work full-time, and I leave my daughters with a nanny in the daytime. When I came home, I want to spend time with them, and I also want them to want to spend time with me.
Discipline is especially tough. My husband gives me a hard time that I’m too lenient. But it’s partly because I feel so guilty that I spend so much time away from them.
