Christine Krogue is the owner of Baby Undersocks, a unique winter layette piece for babies that keeps their feet and legs cozy warm during chilly weather. Keeps socks on babies feet, covers the gap between pants and socks, and is easy to put on too. www.babyundersocks.com
How many children do you have?
I have four sons. I have identical twins who are 8, a 3 year old, and a 1 year old.
How did you come up with the idea for your product?
Like many parents, I was frustrated because my babies would always pull their socks off and their feet would get cold. In addition, their pants would ride up in the baby carrier or sling, and then their little calves would get cold too. I looked into buying tights, but there weren’t many styles for boys, and they were hard to put on and not very comfy. I decided to develop my own product that would keep baby socks on, legs warm, and would be easy to put on and very comfortable for a baby to wear.
What’s your favorite parenting tip?
The best gift you can give your kids is your time.
How do you get your family to eat healthy food and/or exercise?
We have a “two bite” rule at dinner. You have to take at least two bites of something before saying you don’t like it. My kids have found that they like a lot of foods that they didn’t think they would.
For exercise, we like to go on family bike rides. We put the baby in a bike trailer and the rest of us bike or scooter around the neighborhood.
How do you recharge your batteries?
Hot showers! I love to take a hot shower at the end of the day and just relax.
